Florida Blue Dental redesigned and updated the dedicated website for dental coverage – FloridaBlueDental.com.
Now it is easier to search for dental providers based on your specific individual dental plan, or if you have dental coverage built in to your medical plan or Medicare plan, you can choose the specific plan or network to see dentists that are in-network. Search options include distance from your location, up to 50 miles from your location, and search by dentist name or dentist phone number.
You can also find new information about your dental plan features, Dental Insurance 101, and Dental Health Tips.
Finally, there is a new section on Florida Blue’s Oral Health for Overall Health Program that explains how you receive additional benefits if you are diagnosed with one of these eligibile medical conditions: COPD, Coronary artery disease, Diabetes, End-stage renal disease, Metabolic syndrome, Oral, head, and neck cancers, Pregnancy, Sjogren’s syndrome, Stroke.
Good oral health helps improve your overall health – if you have a Florida Blue medical and dental plan, and an eligible medical condition, you’re automatically enrolled in the program!
